This band was specifically formed to fulfill a 6 month contract with the Moroccan Tourist Board. Alan and Nick contacted me and in only about three weeks I had agreed to go, given up my job at Avery's and was on the plane out. We commenced work at a hotel on the Atlantic coast and immediately ran in to problems.
I had a near-fatal brush with alcohol on my 22nd birthday and the band moved to another hotel on the Mediteranean coast. Here things stabilised at an uncomfortable level with no real resolution of the problems. After a number of months of struggle and several very nasty incidents going on around us, the Moroccan Tourist Board sent us home much to our great relief.
