WARWICKSHIRE FIREARMS CLUB

PATRON THE EARL OF WARWICK
The Warwickshire Firearms Club has 3 grades of membershipProbationary Members are recommended by the existing membership. Following interview by the WFC Council they must make 9 shooting attendances at WFC range bookings in a minimum of 3 months and not more than 6 months. On completion the Probationer will once again be interviewed by the WFC Council and, if accepted, will be promoted to the grade of Associate Member.
Associate Members paying an annual membership fee are able to participate in all of the Club's shooting activities. However, they do not have voting rights at the Annual General Meeting of the Club, they cannot bring visitors to the Club and they are ineligible for office. They must make at least 6 shooting attendances per year to retain their Associate Member status. Associate membership of the WFC is normally accepted by Police Forces as "adequate reason" when applying for a Firearms Certificate.
An Associate Member may graduate to Full membership status after 12 months provided they have recorded at least 12 shooting attendances during the previous year. Only Full members may serve on a Council or Committee or Commission, or hold any office or position of authority, or have power of vote and ballot. Current Home Office legislation dictates that ALL members of a Club must make at least 1 shooting attendance during a 12 month period otherwise the Club is obliged to submit their names to the relevant Police Force.
